Voting has ended

September 28th, 2007

As the title says, the voting for the supporting act contest for Funeral for a Friend has ended. This time we didn’t get enough votes for the win, but we do want to thank all of you who voted for us! We really do appreciate your support. Now we’ll head back to the basement and continue the recordings of our next demo.

That’s what’s going on

September 12th, 2007

Hey,

Now it’s time to dig up those old wool socks from the closet, listen to your favourite whimpy indie album, enjoy a hot cup of cocoa while watching the leaves fall. Yep, autumn’s here again. Although many of us would probably want to sleep through the winter, we are not going to. We are starting the recordings of our next demo and we’ll release it by the end of the year. If all goes as planned that is.

We won’t have any gigs for a while, so thank you all for a great summer and great gigs. We sure did have a blast! We’ll return from the basement up to the stages hopefully before the end of the year with more energy, a bunch of new songs and bigger stomaches.

New song online

August 23rd, 2007

Morjens, sano komeet toisilleen!

As some of you know, during the summer we recorded a song and now we did come to the conclusion that we will share it with you. You’ll be the judge of how successful we were at capturing the essentials of the song…

Yet another new gig!

August 9th, 2007

What do you know, it’s becoming official, we are the band to call if someone in Turku area cancels a show and you need a replacement band (check the previous post to know what I mean). We will get up on the stage tomorrow (the 10th of August that is) at S-Osis. We’re replacing Starlight Nine who unfortunately had to cancel. The other bands performing are Monitors Alive, Lines of Leaving and Strikin’ Case. Tickets are only 4 euros a piece. Showtimes are:

21.00 (doors open)
22.00 Monitors Alive
22.45 Ever Since The Day
23.30 Lines of Leaving
00.15 Strikin’ Case
01.30 (time to go home)

Feel yourself welcome, and don’t hesitate to ask your friends to join you too!

New gig in Salo

August 9th, 2007

The headline says it all: we are going to play at Salon tori on the 12th of August. Scream for Change had to cancel so we are replacing them. Other bands performing are Automatic Eye and Dead By Gun. The event is free and we will begin at approximately 16.30. Be there! Good music and sunshine, what more can you ask for?

Se on kesä ny!

June 26th, 2007

Hi all!

“Juhannus” festivities are now behind us and we’ve all survived. Now the daylight starts to diminish here in Finland, autumn is almost knocking on the door… but let us enjoy the summer as long as it lasts.

We’d like to thank all of you who have come to see our shows, bought our EP, supported us in any way, criticized us… As you know, we have no gigs this summer (maybe a few gigs, but no tours or such), which doesn’t mean though that we would just sit on our asses for the next few months. We’ll make some recordings ourselves, write and rehearse new songs and start planning the next EP. We’ll keep you updated all the time, and will write new interesting (mostly uninteresting) stuff to Backstage, so don’t forget to visit here once in a while. I’ll try to post the story about our NummelaFest trip soonish, so look forward to that.

Thank you for the last winter/spring, we sure did have a blast! We hope to see you all again in the fall!

On behalf of Ever Since The Day,
Kari

Live @ Pup Stop

June 20th, 2007

On the 2 of June 2007 we played a show at a familiar place, Pup Stop at Nokia. The ride there was way hotter than on the last time, after all it was summer now and something like 25°C. This story includes no jalapenos.
