Backstage
This section is now officially opened, the curtain is pulled back. You are on the backstage. On your left there is a broken mirror, and back there is a toilet that won't flush. The meaning of this section is that we can write here about pretty much anything that comes to our minds. Gigs we've seen, records we've bought, meals we've eaten, you name it. Take a leap, try to land.

..or Levoton Tuhkimo, as Dingo sang it in the 80s. I have to say that Internet and sites like Youtube and Myspace can bring very surprising or even amazing artists and songs to your ears and eyes if you happen to just surf around.
Today I heard a rumor that HIM has performed the Levoton Tuhkimo somewhere many years ago. Surprisingly I found a Video about such an event in no-time. However, while browsing for it I saw that there was also a version available that was made by Estonian artis Mari-Leen. It was quite a refreshing to hear such an old song in a (not so) different language, and with a modern arrangement. Seems like Estonian hit-factories know what buttons to push - at least if I was a DJ I’d surely take her song Suure Linna Inglid to my playlist.. Well, seems to be THE time for me to push the off button or the next thing I might find is Pate Mustajärvi singing Vladimir Vysotskin’s songs naked.

G’day mates,
I’ve been busy writing new songs and thinking my head off trying to figure out what to do to improve the old ones. Rearranging old songs is quite difficult, since I am so used to the way they are. After all, we’ve been playing all the songs for quite a while now. Basically all major changes sound crappy, so I guess we should bring in a few extra pairs of ears. We have started planning our next demo, but we still don’t know what songs to put on it, with whom we should make it, and where and when. This time we are probably going to use outside help, I mean production-wise. But we will inform you as soon as we get some decisions done. Hopefully we will have it out by the end of this year.

Just dropped by to say that Bleak was worth every penny, or euro if you will. The singer (Caleb) is phenomenal, his hitting pretty much every note, screaming, whispering, shouting, singing in falsetto, in head voice, with and without rasp, you name it. Really, really versatile singing. And the rest of the band is equally good, a definite live band, go to see them if you have the possibility. That’s all for now, now I have to go and get ready for tonight’s Bandstand finals. Hope it plays out good.

Hi again, sorry for the pause, I’ve been really busy so I haven’t had the time to write here. Tonight I’m going to go to see Bleak live, and I am really looking forward to that. I’ve heard that they are a really great live band. They sound great on the record, so I have high expectations, we’ll see if they are able to fulfil them. But yeah, to the point, here’s a little something about the song “Sanctuaryâ€.

I have a hard time remembering anything special about the making of the song “Falling to Pieces”. I remember being really psyched about this, I really loved the guitars in the verse and still do. I think that this song was just a product of me doodling with the guitar. This song sort of composed itself, it came out quite fluently.

Hey there, right now I am suffering from a bad flu plus of a some kind of ear infection so I don’t know how the gig on Saturday will play out, hopefully I’ll be able to get up on the stage. Well, that’s life. But let’s get to the point, here’s a little something about the songs on â€Through My Eyes†as I promised. I’ll begin with Crash, and will try to post the “behind the scenes†about the other two songs soon.
