Bass, Picks & the Bassist

Hello folks!

Welcome to the backstage also on my behalf! I’ll try to describe here some basic elements about our daily work around the band, and reveal some more or less interesting events.. so stay tuned!

The first thing in my mind is something small but rather annoying problem with picks I bought for playing the bass.. During the few past weeks I have managed to destroy something like a halve dozen of them in the rehearsals. I have started to wonder is it me punishing the bass too hard, the new bass strings punishing the picks too hard, or is it some unknown third-party vendor that wants to punish my wallet? Anyway, couldn’t see the reason in a mirror… There stood only a totally innocent, bald bassist. Perhaps I should test the picks before buying them.. what would the local dealer say if I’d spend an evening in the store demolishing their pick portfolio….?
