It’s amazing how music affects you, it can totally change your mood in an instant. Yesterday I had a bad day, and I certainly wasn’t in a good mood when I got home. I decided to go for a walk to clear my mind a bit before hitting the sack. I took my mp3-player with me and listened to Jimmy Eat World’s Futures. I couldn’t have picked a better album for that moment. Already during the first song I was feeling way better. After fifteen minutes I had forgotten my troubles. Well, not forgotten, but off my mind for a while. Worth every penny, so to speak.

Maybe I should write something about the band and our activities too. We have recorded It All Went Wrong, we’ll see how that turns up. I’ve listened to probably over 20 mixes of the song and, to be honest, there are moments when I simply can’t stand the song. But that’s nothing compared to Jouni, he’s mixing the song so he has listened to pretty much nothing else for a month or so. Sick. But yeah, we’ll see how the mix turns up, maybe we’ll put it online or bury it deep in archives where no one can find it.

We’re finally getting somewhere with the demo issue, we will probably record, mix and produce it ourselves. We are planning to release it by the end of the year. It will probably include two songs, possibly a third one. Lots of “probablys” still here, but we will soon make the final decision what to do and when. We’ll let you know as soon as we make up our minds.

What else, hmm, I’ve been listening to quite a lot of metal lately, don’t really know why, it’s not exactly what you could call summer music. I should save those albums for the autumn and listen to something happier and not so depressing. It’s actually quite hard to fill the playlist, because I decided to narrow it down to five albums per week. I listen to at least double amount of albums every week, usually more, but it would be too boring to read that long a list (even for me). Of course there are these statistics softwares such as last.fm, but I don’t use my computer to play music, but a good old-fashioned CD player so I can’t use the softwares. But hey, who am I to complain, I am the one who decided to keep such a list in the first place. Oh yeah, by the way, my new guitar amp sounds way better than the old setup did. Way better.
